Kurio 7 Specs & Price Announced: A Special Android Tablet For Children
This is not the first time for us to see a tablet that made for tots.
But, most of them are often packed with minimal features and apps. If
you’re planning to buy a new Tablet for your kid, you might as well
consider this new Kurio 7 inch Special Android Tablet that’s powered by
Google’s Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
Appearance wise, you can easily tell that the slate is for young kids
and not for the grownups. But mind you, the slate can be easily
customized according to your preferences and it comes with eight
different user profiles. You can even go to the Android Market to
download your favorite apps!
In terms of specs, the 7 inch Kurio Special Tablet will be equipped
with impressive features and specs. Its display will have a full screen
resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and you can also rely on its 2 mega pixel
rear facing camera for photo captures while its 0.3 mega pixel front
facing camera can be used for video chats. In addition, the slate can
also take pride of its 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor, 4GB of internal
storage, 512MB of RAM, TV out via HDMI, 1080p HD Video Playback, Wi-Fi
connectivity and a built-in slot for micro SD card. You’ll also be
assured that the slate will be loaded with a wide variety of
kid-friendly apps.
As of now, the Kurio Tablet remains unannounced. We’ve learned that
the Tablet will be released in the UK this coming July for a very
affordable price of $199. There’s no word that could confirm the slate’s
global release but we do know that its firmware will later on be
upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If you want a bigger slate,
you can also opt for the tablet’s 8 inch and 10 inch variants. The 8
inch Kurio tablet will be sold for $279 while the 10 inch Kurio tablet
will be sold for a very decent price of $329.
